PE and Sport Premium
The Government provides funding to primary schools to improve the quality of physical education, physical activity and sport. This funding, known as the Primary PE and Sport Premium, is designed to help schools develop sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport.
The funding is ring-fenced, meaning it can only be used to improve PE, sport and physical activity within the school.
At Brockmoor Primary School, we use this funding to strengthen the quality of our PE curriculum, increase participation in physical activity and provide pupils with a wide range of sporting opportunities.
Schools are able to determine how best to use this funding to meet the needs of their pupils. Our aim is to ensure that all children develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead healthy and active lives.
Department for Education Vision
The Department for Education’s vision for the Primary PE and Sport Premium is:
“All pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.”
At Brockmoor Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every pupil benefits from high-quality PE teaching, inclusive sporting opportunities and access to competitive sport.
