Starting Reception

Brockmoor Primary School is a community school. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is the admission authority and is responsible for our Reception admission arrangements and decisions about school places.

Applications for a Reception place must be made through your home local authority. If you live in Dudley Borough, applications should be made through Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council.

Joining Us During the School Year

Children join Brockmoor at different stages of their primary education and new pupils and families are always warmly welcomed into our school community.

If you are moving into the area, considering a change of school or would simply like to find out whether Brockmoor could be the right school for your child, please get in touch. We would be very happy to arrange a visit.

Applications for places during the academic year are made through the in-year admissions process. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council coordinates applications for school places within Dudley Borough. Separate arrangements apply for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Join Our Pre-School

Our Pre-School gives children a fantastic start to their journey at Brockmoor.

Children learn through a carefully planned combination of play, exploration, stories, talk and high-quality adult interaction. We focus on developing children's communication, confidence, independence and curiosity, building the strong foundations they need to flourish as they move through school.

We would love you and your child to come and see our Pre-School, meet our team and experience the provision for yourself.

To enquire about a Pre-School place or request an application form, please contact the school office. Our team will be happy to explain the current sessions and funded-entitlement arrangements, answer any questions and arrange a visit.

Please note: attending Brockmoor Primary School Pre-School does not guarantee a Reception place at the school and does not give a child priority in the Reception admissions process. Reception applications must be made separately through the relevant local authority.
